Motorsport has a reputation for being intense, loud, technical, often male-dominated. For a lot of people, especially women, that can make it feel hard to get into or be taken seriously as a fan.

Reck is about offering an alternative. Not a softer version of the sport, but a different lens. one that values design, culture, and conversation just as much as lap times. The less scary fanclub is a space where you don’t need to prove yourself to take part.

At Reck, we see Formula 1 not just as a sport, but as a cultural space full of untapped potential. Where women have always belonged, even if the spotlight hasn’t always shown their way. We’re here to change that.

Exhibition piece

I went into the creation of this artwork with the mindset that I need to create something that anyone could relate to or find some kind of meaning in, however I found myself drawn to taking inspiration from my own recent experiences, inevitably I have created an artwork that is purely for me.

The imagery within this piece consists of small objects that I have held onto from multiple relationships throughout my life, from friends and family to exes - I could tell a story about every single object shown and I wanted to create this artwork to reflect how all of these memories have shaped me as a person and allowed me to help understand myself and my worth in the process. Over the past month, this piece has changed from something about the common experience of understanding each other and how society could be kinder to each other into an artwork about how I should of probably been kinder to myself by not clinging onto things that weren’t making me happy anymore, and understanding myself more as a person.

I made the choice to not display any information on my piece in the exhibition apart from my instagram username, I don’t think I had the confidence at the time to properly put into words what this piece is about. However personal this artwork has become, I still hope there is room for others to find meaning in it; on a deeper level I wanted to communicate the idea of being able to reflect on the past and see how that has shaped you while still allowing new people, memories and experiences to shape who you are now just as much.

By platforming diverse voices and reimagining tradition through a modern lens, we’re creating a home for female fans who engage with F1 on their own terms.

As the founder of Reck Magazine, I led the project from concept to publication, defining its creative vision and overall aesthetic. I coordinated a diverse team of contributors, overseeing all aspects of content development and visual direction. Singlehandedly editing each issue, I ensured a polished, cohesive final product that reflected both editorial integrity and innovative design.
